Top 5 Reasons Why Lisbon Should Be Your Next Adventure

Don't Know What to Expect? You'll be impressed!

When my partner and I visited Portugal in December of 2022, we didn't know what to expect.
Our expectations were low, we didn't know anything about this amazing country. When we arrived, we were just blown away. Now I want the same for you! Looking for your next vacation spot or nomad location? Here is why you should choose Lisbon!

1. Port Wine

Named after the second city of Portugal, Porto. Port wine comes in three colors: White, Tawny, and Ruby. It is sweeter and more alcoholic than regular wine, and there are plenty tastings around the city so you can learn more about this amazing drink.

Port wine is indulgent and sweet, like a wine cocktail in a glass. It's one of my partner's favorite drinks.

Bonus Ginja: This sweet cherry liquor is Lisbon's hardworking friend. You can grab a small shot of it in kiosks and shops around the city. During Christmas, it's not unfamiliar that it is served in a chocolate cup. Wonderful and delicious!

2. Beautiful Pavements & Tile work

Looking down where you walk in Lisbon is not a bad thing. There are some
gorgeous mosaics within the city. The closer you get to city center, make sure you look down and see for yourself.

And since we're talking about walking, Lisbon is not as steep as you’ve heard it is. A
ny reasonable fitness level can traverse the streets and there are plenty of public transit options and ride-sharing apps for those with mobility issues.

3. Lovely Water Views

In my opinion, a vacation is not a vacation unless there is some water activity. Even walking along a riverside park, is a calming activity that should not be taken for granted. Lisbon is a coastal and has beaches, ferries and wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean.

4. Sintra Vibes

Less than one hour outside the city, this city was a haven for royals and the elite building their palaces on the outskirts of the capital. This city is lush with palaces and castles, estates, and wonderful parks. It will transport you to a different world.

5. Growing Food Scene

Go to Lisbon if you like seafood, meat, plant-based, vegetarian. Lisbon has it all to appease your appetite. With the Time-Out Market, pastries such as pastel de nata, travesseiros, and brioche croissants, and a growing restaurant and café scene. Lisbon will not disappoint.
So come to Lisbon and see this underrated city and experience all the exciting opportunities Portugal has to offer!

The 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller is one of the best travel controllers because it doubles as Nintendo Switch controller and a PC controller. It's relatively small with snappy buttons. Read on to learn how to best take advantage of 8BitDo's Ultimate software. The controller feels like a cross between a Switch and Xbox Series X controller.  Check out the controller on Amazon:  8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller Important Details about the 8BitDo Bluetooth Controller: You only have a total of 3 profiles , regardless of whether you're using PC or Switch. How to Work from Anywhere in the World

Over the past two years, my partner and I have been traveling the world, exploring new cities, cuisine, cultures, and more. She and I have learned a lot throughout our adventures. These learnings have in some cases been difficult, things we wished we had known before traveling, and others we had strategically planned far in advance. All of them, I think, are useful for travelers, new or seasoned. I hope to share our learnings with you! Remote work has become commonplace over the past decade, so why not work from halfway across the world? Why not work from the cafe across town or in your favorite library surrounded by books? Even if you can’t travel for years on end; you can likely travel for days, weeks, or even a few months. So why not spend one month in Paris or three weeks in Tokyo? After all, you’ll be working for most of it. This isn’t a to-do list of what needs to be done before you can live abroad for months at a time but is instead a proof of concept. If you meet these requirem...
